The other thing that surprises me is the fact that drones crashing have been responsible for hundreds of fires over the past few years and to allow them to be used over our old growth forests in tinder dry conditions is just asking for a catastrophe to happen.

Clearcut logging not only takes out the trees, which can take 300-500 years to grow, but also the web of life below the forest floor. Read both ‘The Hidden Life of Trees’ and ‘The Secret Life of Trees’. It is criminal, yes criminal, that with less than 10% of our old-growth forest left, our Provincial Government will let old-growth forest be taken down. It seems there is collusion between the senior staff at the Ministry of Forests and Logging companies to take down all the remaining old trees. Will they all take a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate when there are none left? What a legacy we leave the future generations 100-200 years from now.

It’s upsetting how the uneducated are pushing such destruction on what little remains of our old growth forest. It will grow back within a century, it’s not all lost.

I as many others are extremely disappointed to say the least really rather devastated that you are allowing the decimation of our last remaining old growth forests. Please open the eye to see that this can no longer be tolerated. These trees are our Oxygen as well as home to specie and sheer beauty. Let us be an example to the world in protecting them and not follow blindly the avenue of greed that we see all around the world and unfortunately here also. Be a leader not a follower please.
